Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be available on sale in many countries around the world soon in less than a week, and also there are some of pre-order customers already have the device. But the surprise is these new Samsung Smartphones S9 and S9+ received a new Firmware Update in some Regions (G960FXXU1ARC5 and G965FXXU1ARC5).

Today, for Galaxy S9 and S9+ owners will receive the first Software Update for Samsung Galaxy S9 SM-G960F and S9+ SM-G965F the Samsung’s newest flagships.

Update: The Firmware Updates for Galaxy S9 and S9+ are available for downloading now.


Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ Updates Rolling out

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ Software Update is available in Germany at this moment and it should be available for the other markets in the coming days.

This Update is a minor update with size about 242MB in March 2018 Security Patch SMR-MAR-2018. The build number is G960FXXU1ARC5 for Galaxy S9 and G965FXXU1ARC5 for Galaxy S9+ .

The New Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ OTA Update will fix some bugs, and it will still based on Android 8.0.0 Oreo of course.

You should receive an alert to download this update, or you can simply download it from Settings » Software Update menu on both S9 and S9+ . These new updates G960FXXU1ARC5 and G965FXXU1ARC5 Android 8.0.0 Oreo should be available via Samsung SmartSwitch also. We will publish these updates here on Yes Android when it become available for downloading outside the OTA and SmartSwitch.
